Superfoods containing flavonoids
(inlcudes olive oil, spinach, garden pea and dill)

The nutrients known as flavonoids which exist in these natural foods are believed to be good as cancer fighters.
Specialists researching the effects of flavonoids believe that they may also have many benefits to our wellbeing, amongst them, anti-viral and anti-platelet properties.
The majority of these are also good for weight loss, so should be included in your diet system.

Superfoods containing lycopene
(includes apricots, red peppers & tomato puree)

The phytochemical lycopene is a natural pigment and part of the phytochemical group known as 'carotenids'. This chemical is the reason for the deep red colour of some fruits and vegetables.

Usefully, unlike many other vitamins, this useful phytochemical does not degrade if cooked, but is in fact made more effective by the cooking process.

. Lycoprene's most important benefit is that it serves as an antioxidant and appears to be of use in the battle to lower the probabilty of cancer.

This useful phytochemical is the most effective remover of singlet oxygen, which is linked with aging of the skin. It's also thought by many experts to curtail the development of atherosclerosis.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
