Diet Smoked Salmon Tea Sandwich Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet informationThe Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last decade. Although highly controversial, it allows weight loss whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that are not normally available to dieters, for example bacon and hard cheese. With this diet you eat protein and fat, it is the carbs that must be avoided. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, diet. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a consequence, olive oil. The Atkins’ Diet Theory The 'science' behind the famous atkins diet is that if we reduce your intake of carbs, we will utilize our fat and we will lose weight The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a diet initially suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books. The Zone diet is not distinctly a fat reduction diet, nevertheless many zone diet fans discover that they really manage to lose a few pounds by following this system. The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you gain control of the secretion of the hormones 'insulin' and 'glucogen', then your body releases eicosanoids which puts one's body in a balanced state which is more healthful than it normally is, which is known as the zone. Sears holds the theory that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is working at its best and, because of this, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The main procedure of the zone system is to monitor and control the precise ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure your diet has high levels of Omega 3 and omega 6. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi index diet is based around the gi index, a chart showing food types and a score representing the rapidity with which the carbohydrates of the food type gets transformed to sugar in the dieters bloodstream. The theory is that long-acting foods (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic score), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and mean that you can cut down on food without starving yourself. It is also extremeley effective for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI foods are useful in managing increases in blood glucose secretion. |
