The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet initially advocated by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a fat reduction diet, but many zone diet followers claim that they actually lose a few pounds when following it.
The science behind the Zone Diet is that if one can limit the secretion of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, in turn puts one's body in a state of equilibrium which is much more wholesome than other diets, known as the 'zone'.
Sears claims that when in the 'zone', your body is perfectly balanced and, as a result, doesn't need to convert surplus energy to fat.
The most interesting technique of the zone diet is to monitor and control the exact ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to make sure your diet has high levels of Omega 3 and omega 6.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet invented by Cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that dieters should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston invented his weight loss system for people who have heart disease, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific research on other dietary studies.
Approved foods include, lean cuts of beef, chicken breast, fish and shellfish, feta cheese, peanuts, lowfat or nonfat milk and certain vegetables, like asparagus, cabbage and spinach.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes eschalot, chives and spring onions)

The onion, leek and garlic family of foods is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Although there is very little real proof at hand, allyl sulfides are also believed to reduce the symptoms of antiinflammatory effect, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Foods containing allyl sulfides are also low in calories, so make sure you add them to your diet system.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
Phillip C. McGraw
