Diet Turkey Burgers Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Weight loss dietsThe Atkins’ Diet Now nearly 5 decades old, the famous atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Popular with many famous celebrities, it supposedly allows weight reduction whilst allowing you to eat many of the foods you love, such as fatty meat and hard cheese. With the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, avoiding carbohydrates almost completely. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate/high protein, nutrition and weight loss system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and, as a result, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. The Atkins’ Diet Theory The theory of the popular atkins diet is that if we cut down on carbohydrates, we will utilise our stored fat and we will lose weight The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system first created by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet is not distinctly a weight loss diet, although many 'zone dieters' claim that they actually seem to lose a few pounds by following the zone diet. The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to gain control of the secretion of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a result puts the body in a state of equilibrium that is far more healthy than normal, which is known as the zone. Sears believes that a body that is in 'the zone' is working at its best and, because of this, does not need to build up stores of fat. The main technique of the diet is to control the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get increased amounts of Omega 3 and omega 6. |
