The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet plan created by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that one should consume "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston developed his weight loss system for people who have heart disease, as a consequence of his detailed study of scientific studies completed on other diets.
Approved foods include, broiled ham, turkey bacon, shellfish, ricotta cheese, pistachios, lowfat or nonfat milk and some vegatables, like artichokes, lettuce and snow peas.

A low calorie weight loss regime

Rather obviously, the low calorie diet says that in order to diet successfully, it is essential to consume less calories than you need for exercise.

The calorie defined?
A calorie is a measurement of the energy provided by food. The calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If a meal contains more calories, then it will provide your body with more energy to use when consumed.

Foods low in calories include lettuce, radishes, water melon, canadian bacon, and white eggs.

Cruciferous vegetables, Superfoods that help with Your diet
(eg. Kale, Green beans, Tatsoi and Napa)
Vegetablesi in the brassica family are jam-packed with vitamins (eg.folate and vitamin c), minerals (including potassium and selenium), fibre, chlorophyll, antioxidents, and indole-3-carbinol.

Amongst numerous great health giving properties, these contain isothiocyanates, which are thought to significantly lower the risk of getting cancer.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
