The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi (or glycaemic index) diet is based around the gi (or glycaemic index), a list showing foods and a score representing the ease that the carbohydrates of the food gets converted to glucose in your bloodstream. The theory is that slow release food types (ie with a low Gi score), suppress your appetite and help you to eat less food without craving snacks all the time.
It's also extremely effective for people with diabetes, as the low GI foods are helpful in minimizing surges in glucose secretion.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet started by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that one should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston invented the south beach diet for his cardiac patients, as a consequence of his analysis of scientific data on other weight loss systems.
"good" foods include, lean cuts of beef, turkey breast, shrimp, cottage cheese, peanuts, nonfat yoghurt and some vegatables, such as chickpeas, collard greens and snow peas.

Foods rich in flavonoids
(inlcudes onion, kale, lima bean & tea)

The nutrients called 'flavonoids' which are present in these types of food are believed to have properties in fighting cancer.
Researchers researching the medical effects of flavonoids believe they may also have numerous benefits to our wellbeing, including, but not limited to, anti-dermatitis and anti-platelet powers.
A good number are also low in calories, so you should add them to your weight loss regime.

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
